How can I find the venue?
We are located opposite Tufnell Park tube, a five minute walk from Kentish Town Tube & Mainline Station and Upper Holloway Overground with Gospel Oak a 10 minute walk away. Local bus routes are 4, 134, 390 and N20. Several more routes terminate at Kentish Town Station and Archway Station.
Tufnell Park is on the night tube service and runs all night on Saturday.
We have two taxi ranks located within a block of the venue, plus recommend services like Uber, Addison Lee and of course the classic Hackney cab!

Will there be food?
Yes, there will be food available to buy. More details to be announced nearer the event.
Can I bring my own drinks?
Please do not bring outside drinks into the venue.
Can I get a press pass?
We’d love for lots of press to cover the festival. Please drop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include the publication name, contact details and the type of coverage you will be providing (photos, reviews etc.)
Can I take photos/film the band?
We’re happy for you to film or take photos of the band with your camera phone or a small DSLR. However, professional equipment requires a press pass. Please see above for more details.
Please note that some bands may request that you don’t take any photos/films of them; we ask that you please respect this.
I have a ticket but I can’t go any more, can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer any ticket refunds. We would recommend posting on the Facebook event and asking if anyone would like to buy it from you. Please only sell at face value or lower, touting will not be tolerated.
Are there any age restrictions?
Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, under-18s are not permitted. As such there may be ID checks at the door, so we recommend everyone bring a valid driving license or ID otherwise you may not be permitted entry. We cannot offer refunds to people who purchase tickets or any guests who are denied entry and don’t have ID.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The Boston Music Room is a ground floor venue and so is wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately though we do not have access for non-ambulatory persons to The Dome due to the fact that we cannot reasonably adapt the premises. The site does not currently have a disabled welfare facility. We do, however, welcome disabled customers who are ambulatory.
If you would like a Boston Music Room-only accessible ticket, or would like more information, please get in touch at email@example.com
Do those with carers need to buy 2 tickets?
If you require a carer, please get in contact with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put the additional guest on the guest list. You will just need to purchase one ticket.
Can my band play at Portals Festival?
You can certainly apply. We listen to all bands but can’t necessarily reply to everyone. Please drop us an email to email@example.com with links to the band’s music and relevant social media pages (please do not send attachments or we will delete your email without listening).
Can I volunteer to help out with Portals?
Thanks for offering, you’re awesome. Drop us a line to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested and let us know if there’s a particular role you’d like to help with.
Will there be tickets available on the day?
All tickets will be put up for sale online. If there are any left, we’ll keep them on the door, but with the awesome line-up we can’t promise there’ll be any left! Best to play it safe and get them online while they’re available and at a better price.
