VENUE
EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney)
11-17 Stoke Newington Road
Hackney
London
N16 8BH
This stunning venue includes the large Hall space for the biggest artists with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, a breathtaking converted Theatre for expansive and visually striking artists, and the intimate Bar stage for exciting up-and-coming artists.
TRANSPORT
The venue is a 5 minute walk from Dalston Kingsland Overground Station and Dalston Junction Overground Station. The nearest London Underground Station is Highbury and Islington, and Liverpool Street Station is a short bus ride.
Major bus routes: 149 (24h), 242 (24h), 67, 76, 488
PARKING: Although we highly recommend public transport, there is limited parking near the venue. We recommend using Parkopedia to get the most accurate parking information.
NAVIGATION & FACILITIES
Access to the festival is via Stoke Newington Road, with a single box office and entrance, where you will pick up your wristband.
Merchandise for Portals Festival and all of the artists performing will be available from the main merch stall located at the rear of the Hall stage. Our friends from Pelagic Records and A Cheery Wave Records will be selling their own wares from stalls up in the seating area of the Bar stage, so go show them some love too!
There are bars inside all the venues which accept cash and card.
There is a cloakroom, and two smoking areas.
A one-way system will be in place around the building, to help everyone move quickly from room to room and avoid any over crowding in the corridors of the building.
Feed The Village will once again be providing the food at this year's Portals Festival.
We listened to your feedback from 2024 and this year Feed The Village will be serving a variety of noodle and rice dishes in the Bar Stage, but also they will have a burger grill out on the terrace! More options, smaller queues, faster service. Everyone's a winner.
ACCESSIBILITY
EartH Hall and Theatre are wheelchair accessible venues. EartH Hall has a lift with carrying capacity of 250KG; EartH Theatre has access for wheelchairs via a motorised stairclimber with a capacity of 250KG. EartH Bar does not have stair-free access.
