Formed in 2006. An instrumental band from Tokyo with Akira Kawasaki (Drums) Daisuke Niitome (Piano/ Keyboard), and Takumi Shiroeda (Piano/ Keyboard). Mouse on the keys is known for live performances which include a minimalistic ensemble of piano that touches the heartstring and synthesizer as the base, intertwined with aggressive drum sounds, along with minimal, geometric abstraction-like visuals. With the addition of Takumi Shiroeda, the band has evolved in terms of experimentation and musicality, adding post-classical elements to their traditional sound. Providing music for TV commercials, TV drama soundtracks, architecture, and contemporary art exhibits, the band holds a cross-industry presence.
